Jordan's life is drastically changed when she is sixteen. The repercussions of that leads her down the road to drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity. She is also VOID of any emotions to the point that each time she tries to recover from her downfall, something happens to send her back again. 20 years of her life go by in this book showcasing the nothingness she feels and the constant running from everyone -- including the one man she meets at 18 that she can never get out of her system.

Now she is scarred, alone, and vulnerable.

Please understand the frame of mind that Jordan is in while reading "Scarred". So much has happened during her life that she seems almost robotic, which can be understood considering her emotional state of mind. 

One of my test readers stated they didn't feel they could write a proper view because they felt Jordan was emotionless, which is exactly what I was going for. Gavin, however, makes up for every bit of the lack of emotion in Book 2, "Wounded by Her". 

They say opposites attract which is so true for these two. Jordan is empty, void of emotion, and doesn't fully feel things. Gavin is everything that Jordan is not. Gavin loves deeply and his hurt is even deeper. 

There are questions left unanswered in "Scarred" that are revealed in "Wounded by Her" that will ease everyone's mind.
